Ocean City, NJ – For their outstanding play this season and in Ocean City’s matches against Jersey Express and FA Euro last weekend, Jason Plumhoff and Frank Tweneboa were recognized on Thursday, marking the fifth time in six weeks that at least one Nor’easter has made the Team of the Week, or earned an Honorable Mention.

This is Jason’s second award of the season, after being named to the Team of the Week on June 5th. Plumhoff is Ocean City’s leading point-getter with 8 points, is tied for the team lead in goals scored (3), and is tied with fellow nominee Frank Tweneboa for the team lead in assists (2). Although Jason did not take the field last weekend, he scored a brilliant free-kick goal on June 4th in Ocean City’s 4-1 victory over the NJ-LUSO Parma, the Nor’easters opponent on Saturday night at Carey Stadium.

This is forward Frank Tweneboa’s first Honorable Mention of the season. The veteran Ocean City forward, in his third season with the Nor’easters, hails from Pennsauken, NJ and attended Mercer County Community College where he was named an NJCAA All-American in 2009. Frank has been a lynchpin of the Ocean City attack all summer, and had a break-out performance on Sunday evening against FA Euro, assisting Michele Pataia’s and Billy McConnell’s 39th and 45th minute goals in the 3-1 win, on his way to earning Man of the Match.

Frank, Jason, and the Nor’easters will battle for their fourth win in five matches on Family Fun Night this Saturday at Carey Stadium against the NJ-LUSO Parma at 7pm.
