Ocean City, NJ – Nor'easters Academy is excited to announce its Winter Talent ID Sessions, starting November 25 at Oakcrest High School. These free sessions are open to players from any club, providing them the opportunity to showcase their talent under the guidance of the Nor'easters' coaching staff. This series of open training will provide an opportunity for interested players to be identified. If deemed a fit, they will receive invitations to join the expanding Nor’easters Academy program, highlighting our commitment to developing the region’s top soccer talents.

As part of the Academy's broader vision to nurture players both on and off the field, these sessions are rooted in a player-centered development philosophy, where technical proficiency, tactical understanding, and leadership are prioritized. The Nor’easters Academy aims to provide a comprehensive, player-first environment that encourages long-term growth and prepares players for higher levels of play, including collegiate and professional opportunities.

Currently, the Nor’easters Academy boasts a roster of over 100 players competing in EDP and USYS, establishing a strong presence in local and regional soccer. With an eye on future growth, the Academy is looking to add boys and girls teams to its competitive roster in the spring.

Academy Director, Matt Perrella, explained the Academy’s approach:

"We hope to identify players with a developmental mindset. Families who believe in the long-term process of player development, responsibility, hard work, and understand our true pathway to pro should consider attending a free session with our coaches."

The Winter Talent ID Sessions present the perfect opportunity for players to join the Nor’easters’ development pathway. With rosters open across all age groups, the Academy is looking to identify future stars who can contribute to its mission of building the next generation of soccer leaders.

• 2012-2013: Mondays & Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 PM (Coach Tyler Callaway)

• 2014-2016: Mondays & Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 PM (Coach Kevin Nuss)

Girls Schedule

• 2006-2010: Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00 PM (Coach Rich Balchan)

• 2011: Mondays & Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 PM (Coach Austin Johnson)

• 2012-2013: Mondays & Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 PM (Coach Sean Matteo)

• 2014-2016: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 PM
