Ocean City, NJ – Ocean City captain Shawn McLaws, who struck the game-winning goal against Northern Virginia when the Nor’easters were down to just ten men, and fueled a dominant Nor’easters attack versus the Baltimore Bohemians, earned his second honorable mention of the 2014 season, and third of his Ocean City career on Thursday afternoon. The skipper and standout defender leads the Nor’easters in minutes played this season, and has amassed three points on one goal and one assist.

Eric Klenofsky, who hails from Lincoln Park, NJ, and plays collegiately for Monmouth University, is in his first season as a Nor’easter. He racked up six saves and kept the back line sound last Sunday night in the thrilling Northern Virginia victory, all despite two red cards that forced Ocean City to play a man down for 40 minutes and two men down for 10. Eric made four crucial saves for the Nor’easters against Baltimore on Wednesday evening, leading the way to a clean sheet and Ocean City’s first shutout of the season.

Congratulations to Shawn and Eric for their outstanding efforts.

A reminder to cheer on the Nor’easters at "The Beach House," Carey Stadium, this Saturday and Sunday as they battle Jersey Express and FA Euro – New York Magic. Both games begin at 7pm. The storm is coming!
