Why choose the Nor'easters?

The Ocean City Nor'easters create a young, dynamic sports setting with a number of community events to participate in and the chance to work with team employees. By being a part of this soccer franchise, you will be involved with the front office staff, promotions in the community, developing and implementing marketing strategies, game day operations and local charity work. This will involve working some evenings and weekends as is necessary in running a competitive soccer franchise in one of the largest leagues in North America.

The Nor'easters will compete in its 28th season in 2025, and have established itself as one of the top USL League Two teams in North America. The Nor'easters recruit players who have the ability to compete throughout the summer months in a professional setting while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. The Nor'easters enter 2025 as the three-time defending Mid-Atlantic Division champions and are one of the best teams in the country since joining USL League Two in 2003. Ocean City has the third best overall record and fourth best home record in the league over the last two decades.

The Beach House is the proving ground for players that aspire to reach the highest levels of the game (more than 120 have moved on to play in the pros), while providing affordable family entertainment to the Ocean City community. Not only does the organization pride itself on the success of former players moving to the professional game, it also has a track record of team personnel developing their vocational skills at the Beach House.

Daniel O’Connell, Front Office Administrative Intern:

“Interning for the Nor'easters proved to be a dynamic and invaluable opportunity for me. The smaller size of the front office lends itself to collaboration with not just other interns but with the Owner, GM, Ocean City community, and even the players themselves. I was empowered by the organization to bring new ideas to the table each day. This internship directly contributed to my opportunity to work with other professional sports organizations and influenced my decision to pursue a graduate degree in Sports Industry Management.”

Daniel has gone on to work for NYCFC (Major League Soccer), Columbia University's athletic department, the Pawtucket Pawsox (Boston Red Sox Triple-A affiliate), and, more recently, the New York Yankees.

Zach Rayment, Communications Intern:

“Working with the Nor’easters was an incredibly vital experience for me. Not only was I able to write stories and work with members of the Front Office and Technical Staff, but I was able to give insight and opinions on several occasions about the different aspects of communication within the club.  I had never expected to be so directly involved with the everyday functions of the club.”

Zach has moved on to work primarily in the broadcasting field, in addition to working as a freelance sports writer.

Peter Bader, Operations / Equipment Manager Intern:

"I was primarily responsible for all things game day, and all team equipment/apparel needs. I was part of an intern team that helped out with almost every aspect of the club's day-to-day operations, including marketing, community relations, social media and more. Each day allowed me to learn a new aspect of the club's operations both on and off the field. And as far as summer internships go, it doesn't get much better than spending the summer just a few hundred feet away from the beach in Ocean City."

Peter used his experience with the Nor'easters to move on to jobs with the Richmond Kickers (USL), D.C. United (MLS) and Loudoun United FC (USL).
