The win puts cean City within a point of first place in division

UPDATE: Chevy Walsh scored his second hat trick of the season to lead the Nor'easters to a 6-1 road win over Evergreen FC to complete a three-game sweep of the club. Miguel Jaime, Nathan Regis, and Martim Galvao also added goals. More details to come ...

The Ocean City Nor’easters hit the road to Leesburg, Virginia for a match against Evergreen FC tonight. The match is important to the Storm as they try to put themselves in prime position for a Mid-Atlantic Division title in the Premier Development League.

The two teams played last Saturday night at Carey Stadium with Ocean City winning the match 3-1. With goals from Nathan Regis, Martim Galvao, and Nolan Sherwood, the team controlled what was mostly open match. The win brought them within four points of taking over first place Reading United in the standings.

They play an Evergreen FC team that though low in the standings is still a tough opponent for the Storm. The team has played Ocean City twice already this season, both with the Nor'easters winning. The Nor’easters defeated the Hammers on May 28 by the score of 3-0 and the already mentioned win last Saturday night. So the Storm will be looking for the season sweep.

Evergreen is led by Ahmed Sheta who leads the team with four goals. Arie Ammann is the team’s top goalkeeper with a 1.00 goals against average in seven games.

The match kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburgh, Virginia. Fans unable to make the trip can follow live updates on the Nor'easters twitter account @OCNoreasters.
