Todd Sheridan Named ECAC Metro Player of the Week

Barons U20 Player also named Offensive Player of the Week

HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 31, 2006) – Freshman forward Todd Sheridan (Egg Harbor, N.J.) was named the ECAC Metro Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday afternoon. Sheridan is the first member of the team to earn the award this year. Sheridan was also named the Skyline Conference Player of the Week on Monday. Todd has been a member of the Barons since he was 13 years of age.

Sheridan picked up four goals in three games and has scored goals in five straight games for Stevens. He netted the game-winner in the Ducks 1-0 victory over Centenary College. He recorded two goals against Mount Saint Mary College and one goal in the Ducks’ regular-season finale against St. Joseph’s College.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America ranked Stevens No. 7 this week. The Ducks moved up one spot from last week and earned a No. 5 ranking by D3Kicks.com. The Ducks are also ranked No. 1 by the NSCAA in the Metro Region.

Stevens is back in action on Wednesday when it hosts Farmingdale State University in the semifinal round of the Skyline Conference Tournament at 5 p.m.
