A former Nor’easter, John is heading into his third season as the Nor’easters goalkeeper coach, after manning the goal for the club from 2008-2012. He also spent two seasons as graduate assistant coach with the LIU Brooklyn men’s soccer team, working specifically the team’s net-minders.


During his Nor’easters career, John made 3 appearances and kept 2 clean sheets.  He was with the team during the 2008, 2009, and 2014 season.  During the 2014 season, he made the transition from player to coach.  In his 2 seasons as the goalkeeper coach, the team has accumulated 6 clean sheets.


Fogarty was Villanova’s starting keeper for his junior and senior seasons. He was Philadelphia Soccer Six Goalkeeper of the Year and National Player of the week during his junior year. During his senior year, he was named Big East Goalkeeper of the Week and Defensive MVP Team Award while contributing to a record-setting nine-shutout season and tied the career shutout record of 16 and during his senior year.
