COACHES COMMENTS
"Duke had a phenomenal season this past year in the IVY league and the US National Staff noticed. He is electric on the pitch and has buckets of pace. He makes guys around him better and attaches himself well into the attack. I don’t doubt for a second that he will be a great find for this team and part of a group of 3 rising freshman that can serve as strong pieces to our future, but a guy that will have an impact immediately."

Markhus is one of only three Freshman to make it into Coach Tim Oswald’s selections for the 2011 summer. He is an exceptional talent, especially for a Freshman, picking up 5 goals and 2 assists while starting all 17 games for UPenn. His early introduction to the USL PDL system will only expedite his soccer education. Reports say his all round game is improving and the future is very bright for young Markhus Lacroix. Markhus is quite a talent and he will be showing that talent at the U20 US Men’s national team training camp with Tyler Miller this year. Markhus has his feet firmly planted in the ground with the great charity work he is a part of at a young age, he has participated in God’s Child Project, helping build homes in Antigua, been a ’Trenton After School Project’ counselor, A Better Chance Scholar and volunteered in the nursery at Jackson Baptist Church. Markhus is a great player and well-rounded, grounded young man.
