Ocean City Nor'easters' all-time leader in coaching wins needs your help

A member of the Ocean City Nor'easters family needs your help.

Tim Oswald, who led the club to two Eastern Conference titles from 2012-16 and has more coaching wins in the team's USL League Two history, is dealing with a family health crisis. In order to help the Oswald family, the Nor'easters are encouraging our fans and former players to help them out.

Tim's daughter Karley is currently receiving round-the-clock treatment at the Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia (CHOP) after complications following a heart procedure.

Here is what Tim, who is currently the head coach of the Rutgers-Camden men’s soccer program, wrote the following on his Instagram account (where he is providing updates):

As many of you know, Karley came in for a heart procedure at CHOP a week ago. The operation was a success.

Unfortunately, as a result of the heart operation, some unknown perfect storm occurred that they doctors at CHOP are still teeming over that produced complications. She needed to have an additional cranial procedure and is in the PICU. That operation was successful as well, but she continues to be sedated and recovering as peacefully as she can. She will be in CHOP for 3+ months focusing on her rehabilitation and recovery.

Please continue to keep Karley in your 🙏🏻 as the road to recovery will surely be a long uphill climb, but through every step of the way, we will be with her fighting the good fight! Karley has always thrived in challenging situations and we 💯 believe she will “find a way out of no way” and continue to make progress daily to recovery. She was raised that way and that’s the mindset and mentality of our family.

While we are all aware that money is tight with the COVID-19 pandemic, we encourage our fans, former players and members of the soccer community to contribute to help them.

"We encourage everyone in the Nor'easters family to donate to this urgent cause," said Nor'easters president Giancarlo Granese Sr. "Tim Oswald is going through a difficult time and we love his little angel Karley and wish her a speedy recovery."

With a long-term stay ahead of Karley, fans can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign to support her family with 10% of the donations going to the American Heart Association.
