South Jersey Barons Announce New Member of the Coaching Staff

Former College Coach Joins the Team

Sicklerville, NJ - Today the South Jersey Barons are pleased to announce the appointment of Leon Brown as a full-time member of our established coaching organization. Coach Brown joins the Barons having spent the last Two years earning his MBA at Wheeling Jesuit University, WV . During that time Brown was Assistant Coach for the Cardinals Men’s and Women's Soccer Team.

The South Jersey Barons is pleased to announce the appointment of Leon Brown as a full-time member of the Coaching organization. Coach Brown joins the Barons having spent the last Two years earning his MBA at Wheeling Jesuit University, WV . During that time was Assistant Coach for the Cardinals Men’s and Women's Soccer Team.

Coach Brown played all four years of his college eligibility at Wheeling Jesuit, and was named the team MVP in 2002. Leon also earned two NSCAA Academic and Athletic All-American Awards in 2002, and 2003 and was WVIAC Player of the Year in 2003. Coach Brown is very familiar with the Barons organization. In 2004 he played for the Barons PDL team that went undefeated with a 14-0-4 record.

Coach Brown will primarily work with the U13 Banshees and the U15 Banshees in the upcoming season. Brown, who is a native of Trinidad and Tobago said of his appointment, "I’m ecstatic to be working with a soccer organization which is respected and recognized along the East Coast."

"We at the Barons are delighted with the new addition to our staff", said General Manager Neil Holloway, "With Leon's vast experience and contacts at the collegiate level we believe he will bring a extra dimension to our organization."
