Nor'easters Travel To Long Island Looking For 3 Points

A win would take Ocean City to the top of the table

The Ocean City Nor'easters know that a win in Long Island tonight would take them to the top of the table and leap frog rivals Reading United.

The Long Island Rough Riders are unbeaten in the USL PDL this season and are coming off the back of a 4-2 win away to Central Jersey Spartans. The only blemishes so far for Long Island are a 2-2 tie with Baltimore Bohemians and a 0-0 draw with Reading United, both at home.

The Nor'easters are coming to Long Island after a hard fought tie against long standing rivals Reading United in Pennsyvania. Ocean City's record against the Rough Riders sits at 4-2-2. It is always a close run game and last year the two teams only played once, due to USL PDL scheduling, and the Nor'easters ran out 2-1 winners with goals from current players Emmanuel Kollie and Zoncher Dennis.

Coach Oswald understands the importance of this game, "This will be a difficult game against a very good USL PDL team. They have shown their quality early on this season and we need to make sure we are on the top of our game to get the 3 points we desire. We need to capitalize on the hard fought point we took from Reading United and cement our place at the top of this Mid Atlantic Division".
