Everything you need to know to watch a Nor'easters game at the Beach House

The Ocean City Nor'easters' 25th home opener is this Friday, May 27 and fans are already making plans to come down to Carey Stadium ("The Beach House") to cheer on the team, and to experience everything that America's Greatest Family Resort has to offer.

Here is everything you need to know about coming down to watch a game at the Beach House:

WHERE IS THE STADIUM?

Carey Stadium is located at Ocean City High School in between Sixth Street and Fifth Street, right next to the boardwalk in Ocean City, N.J.

Carey Stadium has been the home of the Ocean City Nor'easters since the club's inaugural season in the D-3 Pro League in 1997. Although they played at some different home fields over the years, they made the permanent move to Carey Stadium in 2005. That season, the club's play-by-play announcer Josh Hakala gave the stadium it's nickname of "The Beach House".

One could argue The Beach House is one of the best locations in all of minor league sports in the United States. Ocean City is known as "America's Greatest Family Resort" and Carey Stadium is just a few steps away from the Ocean City boardwalk, under the shadow of the ferris wheel at Gillian's Wonderland.

Fun fact: Located a little more than 200 meters from the Atlantic Ocean, only one minor league sports team in the country plays closer to an ocean than the Nor'easters do (Minor league baseball team Pensacola Blue Wahoos in Pensacola, Fla.) .

BUYING TICKETS / SEASON MEMBERSHIPS

Buying tickets and season memberships is easier than ever. The best value is to purchase a season membership for $50, which includes all seven regular season home games and any potential exhibition or playoff games. Single-game tickets can be purchased for $10 each (general admission)

The easiest way to purchase tickets is to buy them online through the Nor'easters website (OceanCityFC.com). Tickets can also be purchased at the Carey Stadium gate either with cash or with a smartphone.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: SOCCER COACHES GET IN FREE

Once again, the Nor'easters are welcoming soccer coaches to the Beach House ... for free!

The club is expanding its reach throughout the state of New Jersey and beyond by inviting local coaches to the Jersey Shore to experience one of the country’s best minor league soccer teams. Any youth, high school or college soccer is entitled to a free season membership for all home games at Carey Stadium (regular season, exhibition games and playoff games).

Coaches are grooming the next generation of players in our growing soccer nation and they should be rewarded for it.

Coaches interested in season tickets just have to register and fill out a short survey by clicking HERE. Once a coach is registered, they just need to show their photo ID at the box office to use their season pass.

SJEB FC, NEW JERSEY SURF, COHANSEY PREMIER PLAYERS GET IN FREE!

The Nor'easters partnerships with SJEB FC, New Jersey Surf and Cohansey Premier means those players get in free!

As a part of the partnership, players who are a part of the SJEB FC, Cohansey Premier and New Jersey Surf organizations can get free admission to any regular season by wearing their club's shirt to Carey Stadium for any home game at Carey Stadium during the 2022 regular season.

The partnership between the Nor’easters, SJEB FC and the New Jersey Surf has the shared goal of providing a pathway to the pros. SJEB FC and New Jersey Surf field boys teams from the Under-8 through the Under-18 levels. From the two youth clubs, players have the opportunity to advance to the Under-19, Under-23, USL-2 Reserves and the USL League Two First Team within the Ocean City Nor’easters organization.

The collaboration will provide a proven pathway for South Jersey boys to develop from youth players to men’s soccer and a clear tried and tested route to the professional game. The goal of helping players take their game to the next level will be a shared goal while all three clubs will still operate as separate entities.

ABOUT THE NOR'EASTERS

The Ocean City Nor’easters is a professionally run amateur soccer club with the focus of developing, educating and promoting soccer, health and leadership. Located in Ocean City, New Jersey, “America’s Greatest Family Resort”, the Nor’easters provide quality entertainment to families throughout the Tri-State area and the thousands of visitors every summer.

The club was founded as a pro team in 1997 and since joining USL League Two in 2003, the Nor’easters have the fifth best regular season record and the fourth best home record. The club is also one of the best minor league clubs in the country when it comes to the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Only two clubs in the nation have more wins over professional teams (6), and overall wins (11) than Ocean City, including playing two games against Major League Soccer teams. The Nor'easters reflect the league's "#Path2Pro" approach as more than 100 former Ocean City players have moved on to play the game at the professional level since 2003. Since moving to Ocean City permanently in 2005 (at Carey Stadium and a few games at the Tennessee Avenue Soccer Complex), the club has the sixth-best home record during that period, showing that the home fans at the Beach House make all the difference.
