Eckerd College defender scored in his PDL debut
After making a strong PDL debut with the Ocean City Barons last Sunday, defender John Fletcher (Eckerd College / Uxbridge, England) was rewarded with being named to the Premier Development League’s Team of the Week. Fletcher, who will enter his senior year at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida in the Fall, scored the Barons’ lone goal off an Adam Williamson corner kick in the 68th minute. Scoring goals as a defender is not new to the Uxbridge, England native. Last Fall, he was Eckerd’s fourth leading scorer with three goals and three assists.
